for some reason, this email does not show all the previous correspondence,
only the last reply. it takes forever to load, (its a very short email, no
attachments). when i reply it does not show the

Sounds like it is an HTML-formatted e-mail. Also sounds like you
changed the default of Outlook from using the Restricted Sites security
zone which does NOT run scripts in HTML-formatted e-mails to using the
Internet security zone that will run scripts in HTML-formatted e-mails.
In the security options of Outlook, make sure Restricted Sites is
selected for the security zone.

can you post a screenshot of it somewhere and/or forward it as an attachment
to my address? If you need a place to post screenshots, xsolive.com has an
outlook screenshot library.

ah... that red line. It's means "wait while content is loading or
rendering". It should last just a few seconds. If not, then the content is
not available or is blocked. It's hard to say why that message is
stalling - right click on the message and choose view source. There might be
something in the source that will give you an idea of what could be causing
it.

If you hit forward do the message render as expected?

The "content loading" line continues as long as I leave the message open, and
never completely loads. (The very first time I opened it, content was
displayed correctly.)
What am I looking for in "view source" that would cause this problem?
