I have the outlook.pst file from outlook 2000. How do I tell outlook XP that
I want to use the above file? Is it the same format? Does it have the same
name? And do I simply do it by deleting its current file which seems to be
called "Personal folders (1).pst"?

Thanks for any help.

Rename your current Outlook.pst to .bak. Open Outlook and when it
complains, point it to where you have the 2000 Outlook.pst file saved on
your hard drive, not a CD.

Same format. Use File | Open .. open the PST file and copy items to your new
profile.
