Moving 'My Music' Folder

Hi everyone, Its probably a fairly basic thing to do but i dont know how and
I would like your help and instructions please.

I have a particion on my hard drive so I have a C drive and a D drive. My
music is on the C drive which has now become very full. my D drive is
reletivly empty and I want to know how i can re-route my music to the D drive?

i use WMP v.10 and when i rip music, I want it to rip to my music (as
normal) but I want my music to be on the D drive!

hopefully you understand what I mean and its a real easy promblem to solve.
The complication is the whole 'documents and settings\??????\my documents'
bit. because 'My Music' is part of 'My Documents' will that complicate
things??

please give me your advice and ideas of how to totally solve this problem.

Thanks

what media player program are you using?
If you're using Windows Media Player, then open WMP, go to tools, then
Options on the toolbar. Click on the COPY tab, where you'll find the
settings to direct where your files will be saved.. I have WMP 9, so if you
have another version it may be slightly different.

Use Microsoft's TweakUI to move the My Music folder to the D Drive. Use the
appropriate download link for TweakUI from the following article.

I don't know which is better, or if it makes a difference at all, but I just
created my own music folder, and I either right click and 'send to' D
drive, or with wmp, I just changed the destination via the 'copy' tab.
Seemed easy enough and I didn't have to install another program on the
computer.
