moving my documents

B

bbxrider

want to move 'my documents' to a new installed drive from the current
original location
on my c drive. can't drag and drop, illegal/can't do messages.

looks like i can move all the 'my docments' folders to the new drive and put
them under a folder
something like 'myDocsNew', then point 'my documents' to 'myDocsNew'

any better way to do this or some way to actually 'move' my current 'my
documents' there?

Right-click My Documents|Properties|Target|Move

But be aware with any file move that if something happens during the move
then files may be lost. So backup before hand.
