Moving laptop between two domains

I need to move my Win2K laptop between two sites with different domains. I
did join a previous laptop to the second domain by going through a wizard
that asked me for the credentials of a user qualified to let me onto the
domain. Next day, when I was back at my first original domain, the drop-down
box on the login dialog that lets one choose between one's workstation and
domain still only had two items, my workstation and yesterday's domain, and
I had to go through the wizard again to get back onto my original domain.
When I got back on, it was with a new profile, and all my personalizations
were lost.

Is this the deal??

I have users who are constantly moving between the two domains and who would
like to be able to connect to them so that they can print, etc, but I can't
ask them to go through that wizard and loose all their precious short cuts.

Any comments or advice would be welcome.

Dual-boot the PC on separate partitions on the hard disk.

There is REALLY no way to make a PC work effectively on two domains. This
is the reason for domain membership in the first place.

It allows the domain to set Globally Unique IDentifiers (GUIDs) for domain
accounts in order to control access to network resources. Even if your
username and password are the same on two differennt domains, one of the
domains would deny you access to resources because of the incorrect GUID
assigned to your account cached on your PC.
