Moving from single disk to RAID-config?

Hello:

A quick question. I know almost everything about installing Windows both on
single-disk and on RAID-configuration. I am familiar with the "F6-procedure"
for installing RAID drivers on installation.

What I want to know is this. I have Windows installed on a single-disk
configuration (P-ATA or S-ATA, doesn't matter), and I have both a
RAID-controller and an extra hard disk (exactly equal to the first one, of
course). Now I want to move easily to the RAID config.

In my case, I want RAID-1 (mirroring). I can attach the disk, enter the
controller boot menu and fill the RAID config by copying disk 1 to disk 2.
No problem. The hard point is convincing Windows that it should boot
normally from the RAID-config. What's the shortest method to do that? I was
considering installing the RAID-drivers first (before enabling the
controller) but that doesn't seem to work.

Any hints/tips?

You simply enable the RAID configuration at boot in the BIOS,then exit BIOS
(saving changes),then let the BIOS splash screen and the RAID configyration
screen run, then re-enter the BIOS,then go to boot section, drives, select the
RAID drives,disable the others,then close,then open device priority,select
RAID,
disable others,exit BIOS.

Excuse me? How does this relate to Windows? AFAIK you're only describing
BIOS/RAID-controller issues. That wasn't my question.
