Moving from Mixed to Native Mode

All of our servers are 2000, we know we can go to Native
Mode, but are there any particular steps to start? Should
we down the servers all at the same time, 1 at a time, PDC
first?

We will also be removing a 2000 DC completely, will the be
any effect with replication?

Any help would be appreciated

There is actually no rules to follow so far I know, ensure the replication
goes fine, the change only have to be done at once. remember the mode can be
set both on Forest and Domain.

Remove the DC first by my advice and ensure its gone, Then rise the
functional level of AD (Mode) to Windows 2000 Native. The reboot order dose
not have any effect.
