Moving data from old windows 97 to windows xp with works suite 200

I loaded all of my old Excel files on to 3.5 floppies. (No cd burner on old
unit)

I am now finding that it is impossible to load them on to my new pc.

I can find the files on the disc if I click on "All Files.
But when I click on a spreadsheet file, it dissapears."

I have dozens of files to transfer.

Don't try and Open the files directly from a floppy (or any removable media).
When you say you "loaded all...to floppies." do you mean you copied the files or did you
Save to the floppy from within excel?
Always save to your HD and copy to the media and, conversely, copy to your HD and open
from there.
