Moving Attachment to another folder

I am using Outlook 2007 with XP SP2

I moved all the items in the deleted folder to a folder I made called
"Archives". Instead of moving the items as normal, Outlook attached the
items to an email and saved it in Drafts. I have manually tried to move
them, copied them, but nothing works. The attachment when copied just copies
over as a comma into an email as an attachment. When you drag the attachment
to another folder it won't do anything. This process worked fine in Outlook
2003. Can anyone provide a solution or recommend a product to fix this.

Thank you in advance.

Naming a folder Archives might not be a good idea, since OL uses the Archive
name as a default name

The problem is caused in Outlook 2007 (not sure about other versions
of outlook) by trying to copy all the items, including contact cards,
to another folder. Apparently Outlook can't copy Contacts into a
folder for Email items without attaching them to an email.

Try sorting the "Deleted Items" folder by type and then select
everything except the contacts. This can be done by clicking the
first item after the Contact type and holding down "SHIFT" and
selecting the last item. Then you can copy/move them as normal over
to the other folder you created.

Solution:

When creating a folder in Outlook you must select what type of items
the folder will contain (Mail and Post Items, Contacts, Calendar,
etc). The deleted items folder is the only one that I know of that
can contain more than one type.

This problem is caused by trying to copy/move items, such as
"Contacts", that are not "Mail and Post Items" from the Deleted Items
folder to a folder that was set up to only accept "Mail and Post
Items". Outlook can't move these items without attaching them to a
"Mail and Post Item".

Try sorting your Deleted Items by type, select only the "Mail and Post
Items", and then move them to the folder you created. If you want to
copy the Contacts or other types of Items you'll have to create
another folder for them to go in.
