Movies/Videos don't display correctly

The game seems to run fine. My display adaptor is upgraded. When run, the movies for FF7 from the intro video and on come up as a mass of random colored pixels. I hear sound, and it proceeds on to the first menu. When i play these videos in windows media player, they run upside down... here's a little of my system info:

Hi,

Further to my reply to your post about difficulties installing FF7
I suggest you update to DX 9.0b, and update your video drivers
from your laptop manufacturer's website (look under downloads).

5. Update DirectX and your Chipset, Sound, &Video Drivers:
