This is a problem thats been bugging me and collegues for a while. When we
create a presentation that has alot of moving images, these images and the
powerpoint presentation are put onto CD, with the movie files pointing to the
file on the CD. If we then take this CD to another PC, and the CD drive does
not have the same letter, we have to manually go through all the images and
refind them. IS there a way around this at all, so powerpoint automatically
finds them?? As an aside, would it be better to use a USB flash key, or
would the same problem occur

Many thanks

Chris

This should explain what's going on and how to fix it:

Sounds/Movies don't play, images disappear or links break when I move or email a
presentation

The same problems occur on any media; hard drives, USB keys, CDs, DVDs,
floppies, and for all I know, punchcards. <G>

The same fixes work for all of them, though I won't swear to the punchcards
thing.
