Movies from DV to PC for Editing

Hi,

I have a Sony Handycam DV 91E. Came with no software and does not connect
to my PC. I have to finalize each disc and then load through my (D) drive.
I have tried using Windows Movie Maker but the files are not recognised
(.VOB).

I have a Toshiba Satellite 1100 with Windows XP.

Can anyone advise me?

Sony, the makers of the camera, should be the ones to help you.

However, seing as this model : DCR-DVD91E
records to DVD - you need to likely rip those to an editable format and then
edit and reburn.

Perhaps http://www.dvdrhelp.com/ will have something you can use.

You need to convert the VOB files to WMV format first
