Moviemaker project file format

Hi,
Does anyone know the format of a WMM file?

My purpose is to create a WMM project file with other editor and load the
file into WMM to process.
I found there is an article on Microsoft's website shows how to create a
custom effect and transition but a could not find any information about a
WMM project file format.

I can make a Adobe Premier project file with a Notepad. So, I think that
there may be a similar way for a WMM project file.

Rob,

You can't read an MM2 project file with notepad. I think it's a proprietary
format and you won't be able to do what you're thinking.

Unfortunately, you're only option along these lines right now is to
reverse-engineer the MSWMM file. Maybe that will change someday; see
