moviemaker 2.0 ends abruptly

Moviemaker ends abruply, when I try to capture video from
my webcam creative Pro Ex. The cam works fine in other
programs. Some mpeg-files have the same effect when
trying to add them to collections - starts detecting
different clips and ends abruptly. the same happens in
msn messenger 6.1 (ends unannounced) as I attempt to send
with the cam or try to add sound by microphone. On The
other hand, starting videoconference works and my contact
can see the webcam images. Uninstalling, cleaning up, re-
installing of webcamdrivers, software didn't help. No
hardware conflicts can be detected - all seems to work
correctly. In MSN settings of the webcam can be done
correctly. Did anyone else experience the same problems.
Any suggestions are very welcome...

Dear papajohn,

Already figured that out, without any result - not
predictable which file will cause an abrupt ending of
WMM. What puzzles me is the bizarre behaviour in MSN 6.1
and WMM 2.0. Changing hardware acceleration didn't solve
the problem either.
