Movie will not play

I created a movie- which worked fine last night. I saved it as usual, but when I went to play/work on it today it would play for about 2 seconds then stop for no apparent reason. I tried reinstalling it twice. Have done everything I could think of. I need some help or suggestions on what to do now. Thank you.
 
Hi Swan,

If you're using MPEG-2 clips as source files, such issues are normal and you
should convert the files to AVI before importing to MM2.

If you're already using AVI files, but Divx encoded, converting to another
file is best.

If you're not using MPEG-2 or Divx encoded source files, then hang-ups are
usually resolved by the Problem Solving > Acceleration and Codecs page of my
site.
