Movie Player and XP SP-2

I've edited a movie then later downloaded XP service pack 2. I cannot now
open the movie file I edited in Movie Maker. It appears to have changed to a
..wmv file. All the video images appear as a large red X. How do I undo the
problem?? Thanks

The big red X is because Movie Maker can't locate the original files.
To fix this right click on the X and select "Browse for missing file" in
most cases Movie Maker will find all the files and all the X's will be
repaired after telling it to search one or two times.
