movie makers effect and transitions

hi,
i have a problem with my movie maker 2.0 that i
downloaded frok this website.when i try to add video
effects to my clips it closes on me.the same thing
happens with the transitions,title and a whole lot of
other stuff.does anyone know why.
please help!!!

There's been lots of us who have had that problem. That's a common issue
