I have a student that has made several copies of a video he produced and
turned in for me to watch. I keep getting the error message...Windows Movie
Maker could not convert one of the clips from the source file....because the
time values are outside the duration of the file.
Please help! I have downloaded eveything I can find and nothing seems to work.
I would like to see the video.
I owe the student that much after all his time and effort.

It might be easiest for the student to render a movie from the project...
and then you can watch it on your Windows Media Player without needing to
use Movie Maker....

Hello,

Assuming that you have NOT been given a project file instead of the
resulting video it sounds as though the file index is damaged. Opening the
file in Windows Media Encoder and closing it straight away will cause the
file to be re-indexed. The Encoder is a free program from Microsoft.
