After editing in MovieMaker I saved the file to my computer as DV-AVI
and then used my third party software to create the DVD but it is very
choppy. The sound cuts out or is very slow in sections. What am I doing wrong?

NOTHING> It is windows movie maker and overall has a lot of bugs. if you
bring in dv via movie maker and even edit it in another top program it will
still be blurry, choppy, sound faults. you need a better program to get it in
and forget movie maker - its crap!
