Movie maker screws up my audio clips...please help!!!

I am trying to create videos to upload to YouTube, but something happened to
Windows Movie Maker. I have created several videos recently without any
problems, but something seems to have happened to Windows Movie Maker. Every
song or audio clip I import shows an incorrect duration. For example, a 4:19
long song shows up as 7:18. This happens with every single clip I import. I
would like to reinstall the program, but I'm having trouble. It is not an
option to uninstall in Add/Remove programs, nor is it in Add/Remove Windows
Components. Furthermore, I cannot seem to find a download for it on
Microsoft's website. Can anyone please provide me with a link to download
it, or a solution to my problem? Or maybe the name of a similar freeware
program I can use instead?
Thanks in advance,
Dan

I'm using XP home, SP2.
