I have a 35" movie with stills, video, music, lots of
transitions - that I am trying to save. Whenever I try
to save it for use by computer, it stalls out at 25%
complete. No error message - it just stops at 25% (and
the "minutes remaining" number starts climbing). I've
let it go all night and I get the same thing.
I tried cutting the movie in half, but the same thing
happens (it will stall out at a higher percentage, like
70%). I tried saving it at different qualities - but
always the same thing happens. The only way that it will
save it is in .avi format (saved to DV tape) - but then
it's such a large file that my computer can't keep up and
the music skips.
Any ideas? Would it help to remove Windows Movie Maker
and reinstall it?
