Movie Maker problems

Why is that my video will play when I play it from "collection," but when I
put it in the timeline and play it, there's sound, but no video?
Please help!

Hello,

Movie Maker does not work well with MPeg files.....the problem you describe is
one of the ways that movie maker fails. On my website click on GREAT LINKS >
KNOWLEDGE BASES > VIDEO HELP for a brilliant website with lots of conversion
programs.
