movie maker problems

i have a slide show that i made with windows movie maker and i saved it to my
computer then saved it to a vcd using nero but when i play it in a dvd player
the pictures with no transitions fade into each other and all the pictures
are blurry. why is that?

I'm not that familiar with Movie Maker (That's PapaJohn's expertise), but I
do know that a vcd is very low quality and if your watching the video on a
large TV screen, it would seem to me that it would seem even lower quality.
Also, I don't know if MM has the ability to create different size videos,
like some of the competitors, like 640 x 480 or 720 x 480, but the larger
the format, the better the resolution (though I'm not really sure it makes a
huge difference when creating a VCD as apposed to a DVD.
As far as the transitions, I really can't say. If they show in your
finished file (filename.wmv or what ever), then I'd think they'd show even
in low resolution VCD, unless they are short and the quality is so poor that
you can't distinguish them.
