Movie Maker Problems saving to Computer and CD/dvd

Ok, I've tried everything for 5 days. Can't figure it out. I thought I had a
bad clip or corrupted file, but now I'm not convinced that's the case.
Originally the photos that I have made into a slide show using transitions
all from WMM2 (2.1) would not burn onto a CD. There is plenty of space on my
computer I will need 199.69mb and I have many GB's available. However, that
original version that saved is no longer the one that I want. I have added
more photos to my show and saved them as WMM files and tried to save as WMV
files. Sometimes some will save as a wmv and others will only save as wmm.
I have gone into "my videos" area on my windows xp for media and tried to
convert wmm's to wmv's. The main problem is that when I view my saved
project on WMM2 I can see it all perfectly. However, when I save it to my
videos area It will only save the music (7 songs) and 1song worth of photos.
So, I thought there was a corrupt photo etc. However, after many attempts, I
somehow got it to save all the songs and then 3 songs worth of photos. Now
it won't get any further. I've tried converting in Nero, which is fine (not
as good of viewing quality) for the wmv files but the wmm's won't convert.
One other thing that I noticed when I went into Best Buy store and asked for
help is that under the finish movie section in WMM2 on his computer there is
a space that reads Save to dvd, my WMM2 under finish movie section doesn't
give that option and I do have a DVD burner on my computer.
I need the WMM2 Gods to help me through this, I have spent hours getting
each photo clip blended perfectly with each drum eat etc. and have finished
all of my editing and transitions. I manage our fastpitch girls softball
team and this is highlights from our All-Star season. I need to have it
finished by next week! Please help!

Ok first of all some information for you:
The "WMM" file you refer too (actually .MSWMM I assume) is only a project
file so it cannot be "converted"
The computer at Best Buy that had the "Save to DVD" option is a Media Center
Edition (MCE) machine as they
are the only ones that have this option. Since it isn't really a highly
recommended option to use anyway then no problem there.

Now for the information needed from you:
Your computer specs (Memory, Processor)?
How is your hard drive formatted (FAT32 or NTFS)?
How long is your WMM project?
What types of files (extensions) are you using?

Hi Wojo, thanks for answering!
My computer specs are Pentium 4 cpu 320GHz, 512 of Ram (upgradable to 2
gigs, I probably should soon), File system is NTFS, capacity is 183 GB, free
space is 142 GB at 77%.
I think that maybe the mp3 songs are making it crash? A friend gave me the
songs on a disk and I opened them with whatever file automatically popped up
on my screen and the sent them over to WMM.
But, that's only a guess from your first response on my other question. And
I'll admit, I KNOW NOTHING!
Thanks again for your help, expertise and consideration.
