Movie Maker needs to close after loading

After loading Movie Maker I suddenly get a message 'MM has encountered a
problem and needs to close'. The error report has an error signature
(moviemk.exe, AppVer: 2.1.4026.0 ModName: qedit.dll, ModVer: 6.5.2600.2180,
Offset: 0001b2af). I have no idea what this means, the message has been
popping up since yesterday, and I have not changed or downloaded anything.
Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks

I was having this same problem. Per advice I found in posts at papajohn.org,
I uninstalled IE7, restarted the computer, and now Movie Maker starts and
runs without this error occurring. (For now, I'm using Firefox instead of
IE.)

Thanks. I will delete IE 7 also.

That is good help. And informative to folks like me. I went through it all
and restarted. It took a reboot to follow it. The only thing I need or use
on my PC is making movies so I do need all the HD room available.

The movies are only home made. They are on three Video websites;
1) You Tube Video
2) Google Video
3) MSN Soapbox Video
