I would have thought Microsoft would have made a
dedicated section for Movie Maker and, if they have, it's
quite well hidden and I couldn't find it.

I would think many post here for the simple reason that,
Microsoft list this area as support for Movie Maker:

Rather than just saying "don't post here", why not try
being helpful and provide a link to the area specific to
Movie Maker. Evidently, you know where it is and a few of
us don't.
