Movie Maker 2.1 crashes McAfee

When I try to open Movie Maker 2.1 it causes my virus software to tell me
that I am not protected. I have had to reinstall McAfee 3 times. Has anyone
had this problem and is there a fix? I'm running XP pro sp3.
Thanks

I'm not aware of a fix...I've never seen this issue
mentioned before.

Once it says you are not protected is it disabled
even after you close Movie Maker?

Have you tried logging off the net and closing all
programs_especially McAfee_before opening
Movie Maker. Does this still break McAfee?

I uninstalled McAfee and reinstalled Windows Live OneCare and tried again.
wmm quits right at startup with the message "unexpected error....send error
report?". Right after that I get the same message relating to Dr. Watson.
No flashing windows on virus protection but wmm still crashes. I don't
normally use wmm but was just going to try something to see how it worked.
Guess I should continue not using wmm.

Is there a way to reinstall wmm because it seems to be damaged?

Thanks for the response. You are providing a great help for people that need
it.

Sounds like ssues that run much deeper
than Movie Maker.
