Movie Maker 2.0 problems

Hi,
I have been using Movie Maker for over a year with no probs. Then
tonight I tried to import a wmv file, as usual, but only a small portion of
the clip showed up in Movie Maker. For some reason, only the first 30 - 40
sec were imported. I tried this repeatedly, and the same thing kept
happening. Then another strange thing occurred. I gave up on that clip and
went on to another, larger one. This time, it all imported, but when I
tried to drag it to the timeline so I could edit it, Movie Maker suddenly
just shut down with no warning and no error messages! What gives? Thanks!
