Movie file created will not play in Media Player 9

I've created a new movie using Movie Maker 2.1. It plays great in Movie Maker
preview and even when I created a Video CD it works in my TV DVD player,
however if I try to play it on my computer using Windows Media Player 9 it
will only play in a discoloured and blurred format ? Is Media Player 9
suitable for playing video. I wanted to create a small video to email home to
friends and thought this would work?

Sorry can't help you but you could help me. When I save my movies on cd I
can't play it on my dvd. What I'm I doing wrong? could you help me please?
I have media player 10 and you can look at your movies without problems
maybe you should update!

Updating to Media Player 10 should help. I had some issues with 9 after
installing SP2. Upgrading to 10 took care of that.

you need to use authoring software (MyDVD, Ulead, Nero ,etc) to burn either a
VCD or DVD. Standalone players won't read the file from a disk.
