Well I m still fixing stuff that went bad in my Pc upgrade and these are my
unsolved problems:

1. from my old pc (still available to export from) I exported My Office 2003
settings, imported to Windows Vista with Office 2003 and got several errors
because the settings are looking for locations as "C:\documents and
settings\..." location that doesn't exist anymore in Windows Vista ..is there
anyway to do this without problems?

2. I have my emails setup to remain in server and now that I moved to
Windows Vista...made email account settings, imported from pst file....it
began downloading old emails (I have in server over 10,000 emails) Is there
any chance to avoid double downloading?

3. My contacts got messed up, imported from pst again only the contacts and
now i got in Windows Vista issues like:
a. Writtting a new email in to/cc/bcc if I try to use Contact list shows me
a message
"The addres list could not be displayed. The contacts folder associated with
this address list could not be opened....." BUT I see all my contacts in
Contacts
b. Mailing distribution list are shown in contacts but when making new email
and click in the "+" to show all emails of the distribution list I get same
message as in issue a.

Any help will be gratefull ASAP

Do not export/import. Copy your PST and then in Outlook use File > Open. Some
of the issues you describe here could be avoided.

1) Vista doesn't have a Documents and Settings folder. Open Outlook, use
File > Open and then point to wherever your PST is. If you copied this PST
from a CD, make sure you remove the read-only attribute first.
2) Verify that you have still indicated in Outlook to leave a copy on the
server. If there are more specific details, someone else will come along and
tell you. I don't leave any emails on the server so I haven't run into this
problem.
3) In the Outlook folder list, right-click on Contacts. Scroll to
properties. Click on the Outlook Address Book tab. Check the box that says
"show this Folder as an e-mail Address Book.

Hope some of the instructions help. If you run into issues please post.

Well
1. about the PST someone told me too, so far is working
2. Yes I marked...that's why I still can check my emails via web but as said
there is no clue for the server to know those were downloaded earlier.
3. Marked the flag and now I have 2 Contacts a corrupted and the one working.

Thanks for your help
