I have a folder that I need to move different files to hundreds of
times per day.
I want to have a shortcut in my context menu that moves the file from
the folder it's in to this one folder.
This is close to what I want:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310270
However, it only copies; it doesn't move the file.
Also, it's in a submenu. I would rather have it in the main context
menu.

Any ideas for a solution?

One thing comes to mind. The old Win9x "SendToX" PowerToy will work in XP. That add several SendTo options, including Send To Any Folder. That remembers the last folder you sent to, and the option of copying or moving, so if you are always moving to the same folder it is only going to be one extra click. More info: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/archive/win95/w959761.mspx?mfr=true

I don't believe you can any longer download the individual PowerToys, but you can get the entire set here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows95/downloads/contents/WUToys/W95PwrToysSet/Default.asp. When you run that download it will extract all the files. Find sendtox.inf, right click and select Install. I recommend you do NOT install any of the other 9x PowerToys on XP unless you know what you are doing.

Open Control Panel > Folder Options > File types tab
Highligh "Folder" (not File Folder) > Click Advanced
Click New.. :
In action box, type the name
In "Appication used to perform..", type the command.
Click OK
OK
Close

If you want to change it later then :
Start > Run > regedit
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\`theNameYoutyped`\command] , right side : default

1 Click the file or folder you want to move.
2 Under File and Folder Tasks, click Move this file or Move this folder.
3 In Move Items, click the new location for the file or folder, and then
click Move.

Or add Move To to you folders toolbars.
In any folder, right click the Toolbar and click Cusomize.
Click on Move To under the Available toolbar buttons.
Click the Add button.

[[The "Copy to Folder" and "Move to Folder" options weren't designed to be
on the context menu. They were only meant to be placed in Explorer's
toolbar.]]
What goes wrong when you add "Copy To" to the context menu

Problem caused by adding Copy To and Move To as context menu entries
