Move Start Bar

While trying to grab the lower right of an open window, somehow the Start
Bar jumped to the right side of the screen. How do I get it back to the
bottom? Also, what is the best method of reducing the size of a window
besides the max/min button?

.Ron, you can drag the taskbar to any side of the screen

that you wish.

Also, you should be able to re-size windows by clicking
and dragging on the frame to the size you wish.

unlock the taskbar (what you call startbar)
left mouse hold and drag the taskbar to bottom
lock the taskbar

unlock/lock with right-click option
refer to your help and support center for more on taskbar.

Thanks guys. After dragging back to the bottom, large icons appear instead
of small. In Properties I have checked "Use small icons", re-booted and
finally turned computer off and on. Still Large icons. Appreciate any
further ideas.

Grab an empty bit of the taskbar, below start, with the left mouse
button, and drag o the middle bottom of the screen. When you let go the
button, it will jump back.

Also, what is the best method of reducing the size of a window
besides the max/min button?

Provided you get it off maximise (if necessary click the middle button
of the three) you can grab an edge of the window with the left mouse
button (it will show a double headed arrow) and drag it in until it is
the right size. Many programs will remember the position and size their
window was in when you close them, and use that as a start next time

Thanks Alex. The problem is that the Task Bar jumps up too quick before the
double arrow can materialize. Is there a way I can permanently hide the task
bar temporarily why I grab the bottom of the screen. I have adjusted my
monitor screen to leave a little space at the bottom but it didn't help.
