move from yesterday's close to today's open

well, personally i do ctrl-c, down arrow, left arrow, ctrl-v... but for you
it will depend on what program you are using and how it is set up to do that
operation. you have posted your question in a group that is about
microsoft's access database product. if that is what you are using you will
have to supply lots more details about how your forms or tables are set up
for anyone to help you.

Access. Would like the amount from the "close" field to copy to the "open"
field of the next record. need to record cash drawer open/close amounts.

need a programmer who can sit down with you and dig out the details of what
you want.
