move field

Newbie needs help.

I created a field for material.

Material
ABS
Bamboo
Bone China
Bronze
Castiron
Cermic
Copper
Elastomer
Glass
Nylon
Paper
PC
PE
PP
PVC
Rubber
Silicon



How can I rearrange the sequence to the way I like. Whenever I highligh the
row, and move around, it just highligh other rows and not moving. Thanks..

Hi Lamb Chop,

Assuming Material is a table, and those are the rows in your table, you will
need to add a new column called SortOrder. Make it a numeric field, then
number the fields the way you want them to appear.

After that, when you use that table, use a select query like this:

Select * from Material order by SortOrder
