Move D Drive (Vista) to C Drive Position (Currently Win XP)

Hello group,

I did a windows xp home install, to drive C clean install, I then did a
clean install from the Windows XP install to drive D and installed Vista
Ultimate there.

I tried to remove the C drive, and try to just boot to drive D with Vista,
but no luck, yes I made the changes in the bios, but it seems the main boot
paramaters are on drive C, as it asks do I want to boot original Windows OS,
or boot to Vista.

Can anyone tell me how I can safely now make drive D, drive C and boot Vista
from this change and totally remove the previous drive C Win Xp drive?

Thanks

Try <control panel> <system> <advanced> <startup and recover> and choosing
the boot OS from there.

I recommends you repair your OSes installation by following these steps:

1. Take out your VISTA Hdd (only Vista HDD) from your system.
2. Repair your XP installation using it's boot CD. (run setup from CD while
booting your pc)
3. After installation have finished, you may now use one (only one in your
system. etiher XP or vista) of the HDD to boot the OS of your choice.

this could make you waiting more but works for you.

i hope that i can help you.
