Move Business Contact Manager database from PC onto server

Short Version

1. Download the Business Contact Manager Database Tool (Microsoft)
2. Backup the existing database from the BCM menu in outlook, saving to a
location accessible to the server.
3. Install a new SQL instance using the following configuration.
Instance Name: MSSMLBIZ
Collation:Any non-case sensitive collation
Windows Authentication
TCP Port: 5356 (Set after installation)
Other options to meet your server requirements.
4. Install the database tool on the server.
5. Using the Database Tool complete the following.
a. Create a new database on the MSSMLBIZ SQL instance
b. Restore the backup database from the file created earlier to the
database you just created.
c. Share the database to the network users that you wish to have access
to it.
6. Setting up the BCM Client:
a. In outlook go to Business Contact Manager->Database Tools->Create or
Select a Database
b. Select an Existing database option
c. Populate the Computer Name field with the Server Name
d. Click Connect (If everything is working properly the database field
should populate itself)
e. Click Next a few times and you are done.
