After years of upgrades from old versions of Outlook, I'm ready to abandon
the Personal address book and keep all of the addresses in Contacts. How do
I move the names and addresses? How do I handle duplicates that may have
some different information?

Thanks,
Mich

When I try Export I can export from any folder but PAB is not listed, only
Contacts.
Same if I try to Import, it lists PAB, but the only location it looks is in
Outlook, so only Contacts is listed (plus the usual folders of course). It
won't explore to a folder on my drive.

Is there a way to extract the PAB info into a file I can import from?

File>Import and Export>Import from another program or file>Personal Address
Book.

Try adding the PAB to your Outlook profile before you run the import.

These are the steps I am using:
File
Import and Export
Export to a file, Next
Comma separated values (or anything else from the list - it makes no
difference)
I now get a windows asking "Select the folder to export from"
I have a choice of Archive Folders, Personal folders or Mailbox.
Personal Address Book is not listed anywhere.

or I try:
File
Import and Export
All of the import options are vcard, vcalendar or from other than Microsoft
programs.

PAB has been in my Outlook profile for years, and transferred from machine
to machine.

How can I get the info out of PAB and into Contacts?

Thanks,
Mich

Turns out I was mis-reading the information on one of the screens - I
thought is asked where PAB was, but it was asking where to put the info
(Contacts). This has worked, so I can retire the PAB, at last!

Thanks,
Mich

In Outlook, click File>Import and Export. Select "Import from another
program or file" and click Next. Select "Personal Address Book" and click
Next. Browse to your PAB file, select it, specify your duplicate options,
and click Next.
