recently replaced faulty standard wired 2 button & wheel mouse with wired
optical sony mouse. On start mouse usually freezes until unplugged and
replugged then all ok sometimes refreezes aftercomputer being in sleep. Does
driver need updating if so how please

no, it just came with a ps2/usb adapter and no model number only "3d optical
mouse"
