Mouse Wheel is Intermittent

Any ideas on why my mouse wheel sometimes works
and doesn't work at other times. I've tried rebooting,
but it is still a random thing... Doesn't appear to be a
problem with the mouse itself.

My control panel mouse file does not contain an adjustment
for wheel ...It is the mouse that came with the Dell
computer ... I'm running xp pro.

[Found the Answer]

I solved the problem by reloading the driver from the xp
driver cd....
Works better than ever...
