mouse right click

after installing sp2 on my desktop the right click on my mouse has quit
working properly. When I right click on a shortcut or a jpeg the menu that
usually shows up does not and the computer tries for a few seconds then
resets the desktop and nothing happens. How do I get my right click back to
normal?

Go to Control panel and click on printers and other hardware then click on
'mouse'
and see if your settings for your right click are looking what theyre meant
to look
like. check the settings basiclly

Yes, I have checked and rechecked, I even uninstalled the mouse program and
reinstalled. Same problem. When you right click you should get another menu
that pops up. I get it sometimes, but not always. When I don't get the menu
the desktop resets itself after a minute or so with no changes being made.
Problem always happens on the same shortcuts, but not on all shortcuts.
Happens everytime on right clicking on a jpeg. *&%$**&%
