Mouse Question

Hi,

I was using a MSoft wireless, optical mouse, the basic blue one, but it was
just too small and I always had to lift the mouse and put it back down on
the pad to get the cursor to move as far as I wanted. I found myself
constantly lifting the thing with my thumb and middle finger.

I was looking at mice yesterday and noticed that some of the Logitech
wireless ball mice come with a recharging stand, while the wireless optical
ones do not. Does a wireless ball mouse use more power than a wireless
optical?

Do you prefer otical over ball mice?

Thanks,
Bruce

IMO, a trackball is the only way to go. You don't have to worry about
running off the mouse pad with one!

Optical by far! No mouse ball to get dirty and start hanging up. As for
having to lift up the mouse and to get the cursor to go far enough you
should have been able to rectify that in mouse properties under mouse speed.

Hi, Hank,

I've fine tuned the speed and acceleration settings, etc., but no luck.

Just get a Logitech optical, wireless trackball and you won't regret it.

No mouse pads, no lifting, no running out of mouse pad space.

The truth is out there. You just have to look in the right places and ask
the right questions.

I prefer optical, provided there is a proper surface. Optical mice
don't work well on something shiny, whereas a ball mouse will work on
nearly any surface at all.

Never having to clean them is the main attraction for me.

Optical *trackball*? What does that mean? Why would it be wireless *and*
have a ball?

Seems clear even to me. Big ball on top, optical so none of those
funky shafts and wheel cogs to collect dust and lint and hair and
wireless, so no cord to get tangled on the way to the back of the
computer!

The befuddled,

Yeah, I guess it makes sense to me on second thought.
