Hello, Can anyone tell me if there is a way to change the mouse pointer so
it shows an animated pointer when a certain button is clicked. Ideally I
would prefer not to change the pointers for all of windows, because it would
mean altering the settings on every users computer, but just for when one
button is clicked.

Sorry. This is a newsgroup dedicated to questions about Access, the
database program in Office Professional. It appears your question may not
be related to these subjects. The Microsoft help system is not all that
clear and may have misdirected you here.

It is best to ask your questions in a newsgroup dedicated to the
subject of your question. You should find people better able to address
your problem there.
http://tc2.atspace.com/0013-HowToSearch.htm#FindNewsgroup may help.

Note: It is always best to indicate the name and version of any
program(s) you may be using when asking a question and also indicate the
operating system (like Windows XP or 98) when you ask a question.

Maybe it was my explanation, I don't know. I have built an Access
application and when I click on a button I would like the mouse pointer to
change to an animated object. Is that better?

Thanks Mr B. I had come across the site during another search. I have set
the code to display an animated pointer when a button is clicked. The
problem is that when the button is clicked it loads a query which takes 3
mins to complete. I need the pointer to maintain its animated state until
the query has finished loading. At the minute it reverts to it's default
hourglass as soon as I release the mouse button.

I am not aware of anything that can be done about the behavior you are
describing. Peryhaps someone may have some more insite.
