mouse pointer hide option always on

Hi All,

I have a computer whose mouse pointer hides
when typing. I can not remove this option from the
control panel, mouse options.

Is there a way to correct this?

It is normal for the mouse to hide in notepad as soon as you type the
first character.

Wow, I never noticed that! And the same with Word (2003). Whaddya know?
