I have XP Pro SP2 and an PnP USB mouse. Whenever I stand by my computer,
and then resume stand by, my mouse doesnt work. The laser is still on,
but it doesnt move in the screen. I have to push the restart button to
restart my computer, then it will work. But on resuming from stand by,
it doesnt work. Any ideas?

So call them to get it. There is no charge for a hot fix. There are also
web request form.

In addition to Rock's reply: Call the MS support and refer to that KB
number. They'll send you a weblink by email in order to download that
patch for free.

Open Device Manager, open the properties on each of your USB ports,
click the Power tab, and deselect "Allow the computer to turn off this
device to save power".
