Hi....I've been looking everywhere for the solution to this problem to
no avail. My mouse will freeze up randomly and the only way to activate
the mouse is to reboot my computer or to unplug, then plug the mouse
cable back into the computer. Can anyone help me?

My wife's computer does that from time to time also, her's would usually
freeze at boot, and then be fine. I found the unplug and replug trick,
too. I have used updated Logitech drivers, Microsoft mouse drivers,
generic Microsoft drivers, and different mice, nothing seems to fix it.
I *think* it is a BIOS or MOBO issue, but I haven't been able to pin it
down.

If you haven't tried new drivers, then give it a shot. It didn't work
for me but it might for you.

I would also like to know what others think.

90% of the time you need a new mouse or just clean the rollers/ball on
the bottom of the mouse. The other 10% - ?????

Different Mice did not help in my cases, and they were optical. I
chucked all my roller/ball mice long ago.
