mouse freezing

Today in windows XP my mouse started freezing temporarily for long periods of time and my keyboard has been doing the same. Sometimes they freeze simultaneously and the LEDs on the keyboard flash. Then after some time the mouse and keyboard freeze permanently and i have to reset the computer and after i enter windows after resetting the mouse freezes for a few minutes. can someone help me? Thanks

Yeah i had that problem, but mine go tto the point were
it just stopped working, so i bought a USB mouse, if you
dont know what it is, go into curry or anny shop that
sells computer hardware, and ask for a U.S.B mouse, and
then you can ask were abouts to plug it in on your
computer.
