MOUS Word 2003 Practice Exams

B

Batgirl

Hi:

I am currently thinking of taking the MS Word 2003 Expert exam and was
wondering if there were any websites online that anyone could recommend
where
there are practice tests I could take. I've never taken a Microsoft
exam
before so I'm not sure what to expect and how much more studying I
should do
before the exam. I am looking for something where I don't have to pay
to
take the practice exam as that can be quite costly for me.

Any suggestions and guidance are greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Thanks to Suzanne and Doug for your response.

I did try Google-ing both MOS and MOUS and found many sites that offered
free practice exams provided you sign up or purchase their lessons. As I'm
not familiar with these sites, I don't want to purchase something that really
wouldn't be beneficial. This is the same situation with the Microsoft
recommended sites.

Is there a book either of you or someone out there would recommend that
would be helpful in preparing for the exam? Ideally, it would be nice
without having to purchase anything but if it would help to have a book, then
I don't mind buying something.

Thanks again.

Sorry, I do not know the first thing about MOUS certification.

It's something that some employers say they want so a user can "prove" they
know Word. I used to think I needed one then I found out that it would have
been a waste of my money. Like a lot of certifications - just a piece of
paper that doesn't mean a thing.

I can make you one with Publisher, if you'd like. ;-)

Me, either. I have no need for it in my work.

Hi Linh,

From the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) home page
http://microsoft.com/learning/mcp/OfficeSpecialist/
there are links to sites with practice exams and it
lists a MS book that includes practice tests.

Some of the Office product MVPs, including Beth Melton
hold the certifications and may be dropping by this group,
but you may also want to use the link below and post in
the MOS newsgroup on this as well.

Hi Bob:

Thank you very much for the information. It is greatly appreciated. I
posted my question to the general Microsoft newsgroup as well as per your
link below.

I would also like to say thanks to everyone else for responding to my
question. This is my first time requesting help from a newsgroup and it's
been a nice experience to know that questions will be answered.

Thanks again everyone!
