mount an ISO?

Is there XP software that will let me mount a CD image file?

(For the trigger-happy and copyright-righteous: this has nothing to do
with piracy. I need to run a program I OWN on an ultraportable without
a CD drive, and it requires a CD present for 'full functionality')

I found a Microsoft program that is supposed to do that, but it seems
like it's been written by some kind of an intern who tried to learn
MFC. And the program is disfunctional at best.

Agreed, you really can't do better than daemon-tools.
And if the program looks for a CD emulator you will also need
antiblaxx http://www.dvhardware.net/software/2872

I know the application you mention and it works fine. Yes it is a little
"rudimentary" but that is exactly as it should be due to the Windows bug.
