I can't find this in any book!
I was getting "Motmon.exe has generated errors and will be closed by
Windows. You will need to restart the program" messages and could not
back-up to my CD.
I removed the complete motmon (motive monitor service) folder. (It's now
inert on my desktop.) And the CD back-up seems to be working.
Questions: 1 What is the motive monitor service
2 What does it do?
3 Is it OK to remove it?
4 Will there be any consequences?
5 How can I replace it?

It's a utility Dell (and maybe others) ships on it's machines.
It does nothing useful, go ahead and un-install it.
