Motherboard Upgrade

Am going to upgrade an older Abit KT7 (not revision "A") running an AMD
Duron 900 to something that will accept an Athlon 1800+ and PC2100 DDR.
Looking for stable and inexpensive (bells and whistles not required). Have
found a couple at Newegg and MWave from Gigabyte and MSI, but both have
onboard graphics. Since I already have a Geforce 64 Ultra, the onboard
graphics aren't needed. This upgrade will run a machine that will be surfing
the net, checking (tons) of email, and light gaming. It does not need to
support anything above 266 FSB, PC2100 DDR.
Suggestions from those that have MB's meeting these needs would be
appreciated.

Thanks,
Fitz

Fitted several cheap Jetway V266 boards.

Excellent value. One small anomly.Manual says to use jumper block to
set Multiplier speed. This is incorrect.Set all jumpers to off but the
correct single jumper to the correct FSB speed 100/133 as they
upgraded the board to a,"Jumperless" BIOS.

HTH :)

Thanks for the reply. Of course, I never stick with "the plan"...went with a
Bios Force 2 MB we/AMD 2500+ and PC 2700 RAM. Price was too good to pass up.
Kicked in a 80 GB 7200 RPM mob HD. I think she'll see the difference (from
her 133 MHz system)!
